The 2013 sales figures for automakers in Canada are pouring in, and it looks like for the 16th year in a row, Honda Canada and it’s Civic will be the Top Selling passenger car in Canada.

Figures released today from Honda Canada show that in 2013, 64,063 Civics were sold.  This according to Honda is a lead of more than 9,300 units over the 2nd best selling model, the Hyundai Elantra.  With sales of 44,449 units the Toyota Corolla comes in third place, with sales beefed up by the release of an all new design with the 2014 model release.

In terms of overall sales figures, Ford Canada once again takes the top spot, having sold a total of 283,588 vehicles in Canada.  Chrysler Canada  holds onto second spot with total sales of 260,015 vehicles, while General Motors Canada takes third spot with sales of 234,944 vehicles.

As sales figures for all makes and models are released, we’ll publish sales figures for hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles sales.  Early indications are that sales increases were found in these categories as well.
