Ghent, Belgium – A Hidden Travel Gem of Europe

Recently while on a speaking trip to the city of Ghent, Belgium where I had been invited to speak to business students at a local college, I quickly discovered that Ghent is a wonderful city to visit but is not well known by North American vacationers.

This city of 250,000 includes 70,000 university and college students which as a result create a unique and healthy mix of rich history with youth and vitality. The city struck me as a place North Americans would love and given its location in between the capital of Brussels and the resort city of Bruges, it would make for an amazing place to spend a few days as part of a larger Belgium holiday. As a result, and since I had my video cameras and gear with me on the trip I decided to also shoot a travel review while there and I’m happy to share it below.
