Bill Nye the Science Guy Explains The Basics of Climate Change

One of the biggest challenges when it comes to inspiring people to change our habits and lifestyles in order to help stop the impending crisis of climate change, is that there is a lot of wrong and misleading information out there.

To those who wish to purposely keep humanity on the current path is exists one – one that generates huge power and influence for some but the potential for great catastrophe for many others – the greatest weapon they have is doubt.  Through confusion and deliberate attempts to mislead, human society has stalled in its efforts to transform.  For those who are generally confused by what is going on, the good news is that the actual truth of the matter is quite simple to understand.

One of the simpler and more effective explanations of climate and the scientific facts behind climate change can be found in this video called “Climate 101”.  It’s narrated by noted TV personality Bill Nye (Bill Nye the Science Guy)It demonstrates in simple terms just how elements like carbon, methane gas and even water vapours have been contritubing to a warming planet…and a changing climate as a result.

The science behind climate change is simple.  Just last week I easily explained the concepts behind it to 700 elementary students – some as young as 6 years old.  If they can get the concepts behind it, then IT REALLY ISN’T HARD!

Let’s move beyond the spin doctoring and the false claims being made by individuals who have chosen profit over principle and are spreading false information on behalf of energy companies and others who do not want to see change.

The truth is simple.  It’s an inconvenient truth, but a simple truth no less.  Until we fully accept it we can not move forward towards solving the real problems at hand.  Keep in mind that we are simply borrowers and not beneficators of this planet, and given that our children are dependent on us figuring this out, doesn’t it make absolute sense to stop the debate and start the changes needed?!

IF YOU BELIEVE IT’S TIME TO STOP THE SILLY DEBATE, SHARE THIS ARTICLE AND THIS VIDEO TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW.
