TEST DRIVE (VIDEO) – 2012 Honda CR-V

Sometimes on the Enviro Dad Test Drive, when opportunity stares you in the face you need to capitalize.

Such was the case when I discovered that I would be one of the first auto writers in this area to get ahold of the all new 4th generation 2012 Honda CR-V from the press fleet.  Since I knew my review would be one of the earlier ones, I knew I wanted to do something that would draw attention.  The idea of just what to do hit me after I saw the new commercial Honda produced for the SuperBowl to promote the CR-V that featured Matthew Broderick and involved over a dozen references to “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” the cult classic he stared in back in the 1980’s.

The ad showed Broderick using the CR-V to take a “Day Off” and when it came time to put a review together of the CR-V I reached out to my friend Ben Stacey, who is the freelance video producer I use for the vast majority of my video projects to see if he’d be up for doing a video in the same fashion.  He gladly agreed and as a result, I’m happy to share the review with you here on the Enviro Dad Test Drive.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…life travels fast and sometimes you need to take time for yourself.  If you can also throw in a little work…like say, reviewing an automobile at the same time…well then so much the better!
