2018 Hyundai Accent World Premiere to Take Place in Toronto

The Canadian International Autoshow received some big news this morning as it was publicly announced that Hyundai Canada will have the privilege of hosting the world premiere of its 2018 Hyundai Accent.

The 5th Generation of Hyundai’s subcompact sedan will be revealed at around 9:35 AM on Thursday, February 16th during Media Day at the Canadian International Autoshow (CIAS) in Toronto.  This will be the first time in the show’s history that it will host an automotive global premiere.

Hyundai Canada released some teaser images this morning to the press.  The images suggest the new Accent will be consistent with the new design language already seen in the Sonata and Elantra.  The new car features the cascading grille, a visual signature that is integral to Hyundai Motor’s identity. It also hints at a slim and modern rear bumper, a sweeping roofline, and a sharp character line running the length of the car where it meets slim and sporty rear combination lamps.
